Harvest 2001 was the second in a long string of great vintages in the Okanagan Valley. Volume was high and quality was extremely good. Fruit was picked early for this wine.
Winemaking 100% Pinot Noir and aged for a minimum of
48 months en tirage, this wine was made in the Traditional French Method or "Methode Classique" and hand riddled.
Winemaker's Notes Slightly pink in color, this wine has a fine mousse, and aromas of fresh strawberry with a bready toastiness mixed throughout. Very well balanced alcohol and acidity leads to a palate of a crisp, full bodied wine with flavors of dried cranberry and strawberry.
Food Pairings Enjoy this diverse wine with a multitude of foods or on its own any time. A mixture of fresh greens with a raspberry vinaigrette topped with slilced strawberries and Okanagan goat cheese will make your palate sing.
